Research fellow at the Institute for Social and Economic Research (University of Essex), the Institute for New Economic Thinking (University of Oxford), the Stone Center on Socioeconomic Inequality (City University of New York) and ZEW Mannheim.

Associate editor of the Journal of Economic Inequality.

Luis Vargas Montoya

Economic Association of Costa Rica

He studied economics and business at the University of Costa Rica (Costa Rica). He is a Ph.D. candidate in economics at the University of Zaragoza (Spain). His main research interests are digital economy, economic geography, economics of education and public policy. He has working experience at the academic, public and private sectors. He is working as a researcher and economic adviser at the Economic Association of Costa Rica and the University of Costa Rica.
