I received my BSc degree from Hacettepe University, Turkey, and my MSc and my Ph.D. degrees from Louisiana State University, U.S.A. Then I worked at Massey University, Auckland, New Zealand for 7 years. Currently, I am a professor of economics at Zayed University, Abu Dhabi, UAE, and a research associate at CAMA, Canberra, Australia. I published in Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Industrial Economics, Journal of Applied Econometrics and Journal of Management among others.

Pablo is currently Senior Research Fellow at IBEI, where he also coordinates the Master in International Development. His research has focused on the study of economic development in Latin America over the long run, including income inequality, economic growth and productivity. This research has been published in Journal of Development Economics and The Economic History Review among others. Pablo holds a D.Phil. in Economics and a M.Sc. in Development Economics from the University of Oxford

Luis Bauluz is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the MacroFinance & MacroHistory Lab (University of Bonn) and Wealth Aggregates Coordinator at the World Inequality Database. His research focuses on macroeconomic history, with a special interest in inequality. He is further interested in economic geography and urban economics.
